Professional Stage Examination
Overview
The Professional Stage Examination (PSE) is designed as a fast-track route for accredited Diploma in Accounting holders to obtain a professional qualification. Completion of the PSE will lead into the Advanced Stage Examination (ASE) which is also known as the MICPA x CA ANZ Qualifying Programme. These 2 stages can be completed within a minimum of 1.5 years.
Completion of the entire Programme as well as the necessary practical experience requirement will lead to memberships with both MICPA and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), and the subsequent use of the titles Certified Public Accountant, Malaysia, or CPA (M) and Chartered Accountant, Australia & New Zealand, or CA (ANZ).

There are 3 terms per year, and candidates may enrol for up to 2 modules per term.

Timetable |
The PSE modules can be attempted as either full-time or part-time study, and is intended for self-study. The modules can be taken in any order.
Tuition Support
Classes are available under the MICPA Conversion Programme, and are offered by the respective Conversion Programme providers. 4 out of the 8 modules in the Conversion Programme overlap with the PSE, and hence classes for these modules will follow the Conversion Programme schedule.
